Alternatives To Domestic Violence – Alternatives to Domestic Violence (ADV) is a division of the Bergen County Department of Human Services, which is exclusively devoted to domestic violence intervention. ADV offers a full range of specialized services including crisis intervention, counseling, legal advocacy and assistance, court appearance preparation, court accompaniment, individual, group, and family counseling, information and referral to other needed services, community education, and professional training. 24-hour crisis hotline is (201) 336-7575 http://www.co.bergen.nj.us/adv/index.htm
Bergen County Animal Shelter – is a county-operated shelter providing animal control to 51 communities in Bergen County. They accept owned animals for a fee from contracted communities. If space permits, they will accept owned animals from other Bergen County towns. They also accept stray domestic animals from any of these towns, and respond to calls for sick or injured wildlife to any of contracted towns. http://www.co.bergen.nj.us/bcas/AboutUs.html

Bergen County Department of Human Services Division of Community Transportation Bergen County Community Transportation is a division of the Department of Human Services.
Project Lifesaver - The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office participates in Project Lifesaver, an innovative rapid-response program to aid victims and families suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, Autism or Down Syndrome. The program is a rescue service that trains, equips, and deploys members of the Sheriff’s Office to assist local police agencies in locating individuals who may wander from home and become lost due to confusion and memory loss.
