Village Ordinance and Applicable Laws

Village Ordinance 101-19:

No licensee shall employ any person required to be fingerprinted hereunder until an identification card has been issued to the bartender by the Department of Police.


Village of Ordinance 101-17:

All bartenders, that is, persons who dispense alcoholic beverages, including owners, operators or employees, working in business establishments holding a plenary retail consumption license shall, prior to commencement of employment, be fingerprinted under the supervision of the Department of Police of the Village of Ridgewood at such time and place as shall be designated by the Chief of Police, and said fingerprints shall be filed with the Department. Bartenders who are currently employed at the time of the adoption of this article shall be fingerprinted within 10 days of the final passage and publication of this article.


Village Ordinance 101-16:

Identification cards shall be issued by the Police Department to all bartenders. Said card shall be valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance. The fee for said card shall be as set forth in Chapter 145, Fees.
