As directed by the Bergen County Board of Taxation and the New Jersey Division of Taxation, the Village of Ridgewood will be revaluing all taxable real estate for the 2027 tax year to ensure uniform and equitable assessments. The Village has retained Appraisal Systems, Inc. of Glen Rock to carry out this work. 

A letter from Appraisal Systems outlining the reassessment process was mailed to all Ridgewood property owners on Friday, March 20, 2026. 

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, representatives from Appraisal Systems outlined the property reassessment process during a community meeting at Village Hall.

Plans for the soil remediation project at the Zabriskie-Schedler property will be discussed at a community meeting with Matrix New World Engineering, Northstar Environmental and the Ridgewood Police Department on Monday, April 6 at 6:30 pm in the courtroom at Village Hall.

Topics will include: police presence, truck queueing, bus stops, air-quality monitoring and site-protection measures.
